Through an extensive engagement with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the firm established expertise in community building: designing a framework to define and inform community building as an area of work and study; and convening a national forum of 100 experts from education, research, foundations and communities to assess the status of the field. |
| Prisoner Reentry |

The firm has built a knowledge base around the nation’s incarceration and prisoner reentry challenges through collaboration with the National Trust for the Development of African-American Men and through contracts with the California Endowment to evaluate and document innovative “rehabilitation/reintegration” efforts funded in San Quentin Prison. |
