James B. Hyman, Ph.D.

Welcome to the home page of James B. Hyman, Ph.D., Inc. – a sole proprietor, 8(A) certified, Minority-Owned Small Business. I thank you for your interest in exploring the capabilities of my firm and the work it has produced over the past decade.

Since the firm's founding in 1996, our services have been engaged by the United States government, by several of the nation’s well-known national foundations, and by various non-profit organizations. Our mission is to assist such organizations in thinking through, and designing intervention frameworks for many of the more difficult social issues facing poor and minority communities in the United States. As you will see on this website, those issues range from: the positive development of youth; to the particular challenges facing African-American males; to methods for strengthening and preparing communities for community-driven change; to developing approaches to stabilize communities in the face of large numbers of reentering ex-offenders.

I sincerely hope you will find this website to be informative of what the firm is and does, and useful to you in your pursuit of your goals for improving the life chances of people in poor and minority communities. If the firm can be of any assistance to you in your efforts, please contact us.

WELCOME and "Thanx" Again,

James B. Hyman
